This or That

by
Electric or Acoustic
I’m a kid who loves to paint the world through melodies. Singing for me is an understatement, though. But hey, I love music more than anything on this planet and I’m more than glad to recognize this as one of my avenues. Nonetheless, I've been experiencing a musical hiatus (Sorry, I'm a drama king) these past few months. The creative and/or musical juices won’t naturally come out of my mind unlike the good old days. However, I never stop writing pieces including but not limited to poems, articles, essays, etc. since I get to face these niches from time to time and it’s quite an arduous one for me, no doubt about it. I don’t blame the former or, might be, the latter for this encompassing predicament within me. I shouldn't be.

7 Movies That I Thought Should Have Made Me Cry

by
7 Movies That I Thought Should Have Made Me Cry
These past few days, I found myself hooked into watching movies. I spent almost 7-8 hours in-front of my laptop and enjoying what a film could offer. Ironically, most of these, if not all, movies depict love and... love.  Although it'll not make me less of a guy, it surely got me interested. At the same time, I wasn't expecting that these films would touch my heart—seriously. But, let me just get things straight, they didn't make me cry, honestly. So, to make it more interesting, I decided to post 7 of those movies which I thought could have made me burst into tears. Why? Man, they are just plain cute and lovely! No homo.

Les Miserables: Oh, That Crap Of Yours

by
The play, Les Miserables.
When I entered college, I overly grown a love for plays. Ironically, I certainly didn't have the reason on why I love this certain niche or where this affection have uprooted. The very first genre of theater plays that caught my attention was the “Theater of the Absurd.” I guess it reciprocated my love for weirdness and the connection it brings on deciphering the labyrinth of this theater. But, as I go along with this avenue, I chanced upon the noted piece of Victor Hugo, Les Miserables. This play is barely categorized in the “Theater of the Absurd”, though.

My Friend Is A Solar Eclipse

by

An Image of Imaginary Friend
First and foremost, I want to dedicate this post to my co-author, Marky. As much as possible, I don't want this one to be lengthy and varied. This will and only will serve as a medium for my heartfelt condolences. Last two days ago, June 14 to be particular, his father died to a reason I'm not medically aware of. Why I say so? Marky is the type of friend that would barely share things about life and family. You'll have a hard time deciphering why he suddenly have had a bad day when our first class just started. I supposed he just lacks sleep, but no. In some cases, he pops out of the room and, the last thing I know, he's on his way home. "I need to do some  laundries,"  he told me once. Figuratively, Marky is like an imaginary friend. He soothes my taste and being, but I'm not sure if he's even real. (He should thank me I didn't use the term "Literally.")

All About Eve

by
Sex Symbols or Signs

The most beautiful thing that can happen to a man is find that missing ribs of his; to be able to enjoy life and continue its perplexities are all that an Adam needs in order to fulfill his greatest  feat – love. We all know that no human can withstand the face of the world living only for himself. He may think of doing that, though. But, the desire to grasp someone, in a feminine aspect, is what makes him complete and can explicitly call himself a MAN. Actually, both individuals, man and woman, have an innate desire for affection; a truth that no human being can ever acquit. However, each gender has a very unique way of incorporating this emotion/feeling into their souls. Let’s say for example, the women. The women, in general, are hard to please and persuade.

7 Things I Did On My Birthday

by
Birthday cakes and celebration
Last time on my previous post, I stated that I'll write something about my birthday. To be specific, things on how I celebrated it. It was really not that special. Not at all. It's more of me just sharing it to world. Isn't it lovely? To tell you honestly, I had this type of festivity exactly the same last year. Although the scenes are quite different in terms of probability and aspect, they were (entirely) peculiar. I guess Thor was just really angry that time and I prefer to call it a coincidence. Hmm... Coincidence? I don't even know this term.

Nocturnal Blues

by

A View on the City lights
Here we go again, walking on the side of this seemingly endless highway at 2:45 am. Well, actually I just came from the 24-hour convenience store; I bought 2 cans of cold coffee and a bag of potato chips. Oh god! Am I overdoing this one out? It’s been 3 weeks and I am doing the exact same thing every 2:00 am or so. I don’t know, but I think it is just an S.O.P. in order for me not to sleep on my home-based job. Perhaps it is nice to walk under the stars to feel the frigid air outside during post-evening. Perhaps sometimes it is good for a change. I don’t know, but the thing is… I think I am enjoying the nocturnal blues that the crickets and suicidal cars make whenever I’m on the road.

The Se7en Movie: A Moral and Philosophical Approach

by
American Movie About The 7 Deadly Sins

Alright, before I'll go ahead and post the 7 things I did during my birthday (Dang, I wish I could alter it), why don't we take the liberty to read some insights about life. The article was originally written by my friend and co-league during his existence as a brat college student. He really didn't want to suffice this, of course. He was just compelled for the sake of grade. Needless to say, he's still a good old pal. I think so. Also, since the article barely defeats the theme of our blog, it's just fair to have its spot in the pages. Well, without further ado, I present to you the an approach on the movie, The Se7en

Tim Lambesis: On An Alter Perspective

by
I posted this article few months ago on my Wordpress.com blog right after the shocking news about a heavy metal band artist who was accused for hiring a hit-man to kill his estrange wife. Well, since the words are originally written by me (ahem!), I took the splendid idea to post it here and might as well share my insights in the blogger community. Here it goes!

Front Man of "As I Lay Dying"

In the years of my existence as an individual and a lover of music, Tim Lambesis is one of those persons who inspire me to pursue my endeavors and take life to fullest.  I’m always fascinated by the way he weaves music and how it greatly inspires thousands, if not millions, of people all over the world. Tim Lambesis, if you haven’t known him yet, is the lead singer and co-founder of the heavy metal band, As I Lay Dying. Also, he’s known for being the man-all-over Austrian Death Machine, a metal side project of him that parodies and pays tribute to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s films. He has this gift of writing musical lyrics in such way that people get astonished not only by enticing musical appeal it has but also the message it conveys. Tim Lambesis, in other words, is one of my heroes and I won’t question myself on that. Unfortunately, this hero of mine has to fight the greatest battle in life – to seek for the truth.

7 Local Bands Under Daniel Padilla's Golden Voice

by
The Golden Voice
Daniel Padilla <3

Okay, I decided to write this post neither because I hate nor love Daniel Padilla that much. I mean, the kid has skills too, right? Come to think of it, he could have not performed in a Pay Per View concert if he's not that nationally recognized. Also, he recently swept several awards in "Himig Handog  P-Pop Love Songs 2013" and his really really proud of it. I don't know why. "Well, Daniel has a very nice voice," said no metal heads ever. Oh come on, you metal-genre enthusiasts! Let's give him the benefit of a doubt. But, with all due respect, I think there are a number of local bands/artists in the Philippines that deserve to be under Mr. Padilla's name (God, I hope they won't misinterpret this). I only listed seven (7) of them, though. In terms of musicality, Daniel Padilla is, by far, the most... never mind. Let's start the breakdowns, anyway.
