The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Movie Review (Warning: Contains Spoilers)

by
The second movie in the trilogy to the prequel of the Lord of the Rings film is already a box office hit grossing 73.6 million USD at the first couple of weeks since its release making it the number one movie in the box office charts for this holiday season. The film did not fail to get positive anecdotal reactions from both fans and those who are fairly new to the LOTR lore and unfamiliar with the books. Although this, of course, is all because of director Peter Jackson who has once again did a most fascinating job.

7 Movies I Watched Just Because of Rachel McAdams

by
Last time, with the help of my fellow Culprits, we posted 7 of the Best Demn Teedeez that Kate Upton, the Queen of Bulging Breasts, has (thanks to King Rubiano’s wisdom, of course). Today, it’s my pride and pleasure to introduce to you my ever-favorite Canadian actress, Rachel McAdams. And before the "The Time Traveller's Wife” goes further with her decisions on changing her wardrobe, if she is to be given the opportunity to travel back in time, to which I don't give a fuck, let this be a hallmark of how beautiful she really is.
Rachel-McAdams

Ah, isn't she beautiful?

Rip-off the Foreign Shows: The Filipino Way (Infographic)

by
Needless to say, a movie's success, no matter what genre it belongs, usually depends on how the story goes. Most, if not all, of the human beings around the world fall in love to a movie's plot or storyline rather than the other surrounding elements. As for the present time, however, gone are the days when movie enthusiasts care to judge a film based on the effects (CGI) and/or the kind of actors/actresses that are present (take for example the Twilight installments). Each day, we learn to devour "the real meat" rather than fixing our eyes on the external layer.

7 Reasons Why Nick Cage is the Best Actor Evah

by
Nicholas Cage is a great actor there’s no denying that. Him being able to dick around Hollywood for as long as he has is certainly proof of that. But let’s admit it though, with a few exemptions like the Lord of War he’s almost always being casted in the worst movies, like ALWAYS. Let’s call it The Nicholas Cage Conspiracy.

7 Reasons Why Nick Cage is the Best Actor Evah
The  conspirators’ coup de grace
But Nicky here won’t have to fret no more. The internet, with all its.. well.. complexities, also has its error correcting mechanisms, its natural self-healing process designed for people the internet  has an affection for. And with that, the Nicholas Cage Memes were born. That’s right, these mockingly hideous/ridiculous defamatory pictures are the netizens’ sweet and simple way of saying “Nick, we love you and we feel so sorry that Hollywood pretty much treats you like a piece of shit.”

Wentworth Miller Breaking Free From a Prisoned Individuality

by
Wentworth Miller Is Gay
If you've been into the internet realm lately, you probably have read the news about Wentworth Miller’s proclamation on his sexuality. Needless to say, his career skyrocketed in the ever-famous TV series, Prison break, and I do know you are completely aware of that. As a matter of fact, I, myself, had been an ardent fan of the said series. One can actually perceive a very inspiring, motivated and persistent individual in the persona of Michael Scofield, the protagonist of the show in which Wentworth is the actor. However, with how he broke the silence about his sexuality is not plain awesome–at least for a moment. Let’s just admit it: Wentworth Miller is too far to be even gay. He, nonetheless, broke free from a prisoned individuality.

Applying Carl Jung's Individuation In The Movie Inception

by
Injecting Carl Jung's Individuation In The Movie Inception
Yesterday, I decided to watch the movie Inception together with my wife regardless of my reluctance. Why? I do know that this film is quite complex yet interesting and requires one to fully comprehend every uttered word. But, my copy has no decent audio and subtitles. Thus, recognizing the movie’s transition was a feat for me. Nonetheless, I still handled the situation effectively –by putting my ears on the speakers, literally. Anyway, if you have had watched the movie Inception, you’ll certainly understand why I’m writing this down. At the same time, I know that you’re still wondering about the true meaning behind the ending of the movie. Don’t worry; we’re on the same page. However, I still managed to pull out, at least, some significant symbols in the movie that could somehow address the movie’s ambiguity.

The Walking Dead: A New Season For Love, Hope And ZOMBIES

by
The Walking Dead: A New Season For Love, Hope And ZOMBIES
Yes, the zombies are back! After few months of hiatus, the ever noted zombie-series, Walking Dead, is back–fresh from the grave mates. Since season one, this zombie apocalypse thread has been a part of my imagination. Of course, who would not love the angst, excitement and filthiness that Walking Dead offers. This is not to mention the interesting personalities and ideologies of each character as they pave their way for survival.  I’m not a fan of that kid, though. Nonetheless, Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan (God, she’s hot!), Danai Gurira (God, she’s chicken-hot!), David Morissey and others teamed up for the upcoming Walking Dead Season 4

Why "Pacific Rim" Is An Epitome Of Awesome

by
Pacific Rim CGI Movie
First of all, I'm writing this not to spoil those who haven't seen the "Pacific Rim" yet. I won't dare waste my time on that. In fact, I just want to convey how fascinated I was after watching the movie. Guillermo del Toro, the film director, brought the kid in me indeed. Until now, I can still picture out scenes from the highly CGI-based film of this year. It is undoubtedly awesome especially if you watch it on 3D. There are no dull moments and the transitions are extremely smooth. It perfectly depicts a true sci-fi film—at least.

7 Movies That I Thought Should Have Made Me Cry

by
7 Movies That I Thought Should Have Made Me Cry
These past few days, I found myself hooked into watching movies. I spent almost 7-8 hours in-front of my laptop and enjoying what a film could offer. Ironically, most of these, if not all, movies depict love and... love.  Although it'll not make me less of a guy, it surely got me interested. At the same time, I wasn't expecting that these films would touch my heart—seriously. But, let me just get things straight, they didn't make me cry, honestly. So, to make it more interesting, I decided to post 7 of those movies which I thought could have made me burst into tears. Why? Man, they are just plain cute and lovely! No homo.

Les Miserables: Oh, That Crap Of Yours

by
The play, Les Miserables.
When I entered college, I overly grown a love for plays. Ironically, I certainly didn't have the reason on why I love this certain niche or where this affection have uprooted. The very first genre of theater plays that caught my attention was the “Theater of the Absurd.” I guess it reciprocated my love for weirdness and the connection it brings on deciphering the labyrinth of this theater. But, as I go along with this avenue, I chanced upon the noted piece of Victor Hugo, Les Miserables. This play is barely categorized in the “Theater of the Absurd”, though.

The Se7en Movie: A Moral and Philosophical Approach

by
American Movie About The 7 Deadly Sins

Alright, before I'll go ahead and post the 7 things I did during my birthday (Dang, I wish I could alter it), why don't we take the liberty to read some insights about life. The article was originally written by my friend and co-league during his existence as a brat college student. He really didn't want to suffice this, of course. He was just compelled for the sake of grade. Needless to say, he's still a good old pal. I think so. Also, since the article barely defeats the theme of our blog, it's just fair to have its spot in the pages. Well, without further ado, I present to you the an approach on the movie, The Se7en

After all I’m 10 times a-lot-more-awesomely-awesome-er-than-all-the-awesome-words-can-explain-and-describe than you. Yeah! You’re a Dean’s Lister… So what? I’m cool. You’re a vocalist of a rock band… I’m cool and I just got better because of acknowledging you as the vocalist of your rock band. You have those cool tattoos; well I am better than you because I just acknowledged those body arts despite the fact that I have already considered you as the vocalist of your rock band… I’m sorry buddy, everybody knows you’re awesome, but you’re just way out of my league). Well, what the f*** is this all about?
