7 Tips To Get Google AdSense Say Yes

Tips for your Google AdSense application to be approved.

These past few days, we've been waiting for a reply from Google AdSense–stating that my application is approved. Fortunately, the winds have favored us; we received an approval from them. And yes, our Google AdSense application is approved, and we’re able now to display ads on our blog, The Random Letter 7. Of course, the road was not that easy. It took us almost a month before they finally gave in to our request. Also, the tasks we did (i.e. site optimization, template design, site navigation, articles/posts uniqueness, etc.) in-order for our blog to be part of their program was quite arduous. However, the fruit of our labor is indeed satisfactory. Now, we are even stoked with our blogging endeavors.

Since we are blessed and grateful with what we just achieved, we are happy to convey some tips that might help, at least, to have your Google AdSense application approved. By the way, before we go any further, let we just remind you that these tips are not entirely correct/true. Yes, it worked for us, but in some cases, you might have a different scenario. Nonetheless, in one way of another, we hope to be of help to you.

So, let’s get started!

1. Make Sure Your Template is Nice, Neat and Clean

"No. That's not what we mean. Zzz..."

When we started this blogging expedition of ours, we were really conscious to what template we should use. Of course, each of us has diverse opinions and suggestions in regards to this matter. Nevertheless, we decided to utilize a certain template (previously utilized) which happens to be an online magazine type.  It was actually cool, and all the features it has are great. There were image slider, automatic post summary options, and the likes. However, we find it quite complex in a way that it didn't fit to our style of blogging. Plus, it made our page load time longer, which is not good. With this, we realized it should somehow guarantee our readers to have a great user-experience, and we simply don’t want it that way. So, to resolve this issue, we all agreed to use default blogger template. Later, we realized that it was in fact a great selection. We noticed that having a nice, neat and clean template is a good way to get that user compatibility. Simplicity is a beast. Anyway, if we want to optimize and/or customize our template’s feel, we can do it at a later time now that our Google AdSense is approved.

2. The Essentiality of About, Privacy Policy and Contact Pages

"Just like the pages of this book. Yup!"

Although this area is understandable, some webmasters forget to give importance to these pages. As we all know, Google AdSense is the leader in online advertisements platforms. With the value that they provide to their clients, it is with no doubt that they are the top-tier company in this avenue. And with this, they need to impose standards and quality amongst webmasters who are interested to join their platform. Hence, the About, Privacy Policy and Contact pages are important for your application to be approved. Also, make sure that these pages are evidently seen, users will have the pleasure to click it. So, never place them in an area where users will have a hard time finding the said pages.

3. Drop Other Advertisements Platforms

"But... it's hard for me to let them go... Sob..."

At first, we were not sure if this would really affect our Google AdSense Application. But, as we continually receive disapproval from AdSense, we thought of dropping our other advertisement platforms. We do know that urge to monetize your website–we absolutely experienced it. Thus, we ventured on Google AdSense Alternatives. However, we came to a point that this could be a stronghold for our application not to be approved. Alas, after a few days, we did receive that lovely YES! Imagine this: You are courting Google AdSense, and it’s just fair enough to give your entire focus to her. Through this, you’ll surely get the program’s attention. Again, this is based on our own experience, and yours might be totally different.

4. Reach a 50+ Posts Count

Needless to say, how would Google AdSense trusts your websites if the quantity of your post is very low. It would defeat the credentials they have shown to their clients. At an early stage, we got pretty excited on monetizing our website. Although we only have around 15 posts around that time, we still applied on Google AdSense. And, without a doubt, our application was trashed. Yes, that’s how simple it is–trashed. Also, be sure to write articles with more than 500 words. It’s more than enough to touch down with their content requirement. Actually, in other websites or forums they say that a website with 20 posts, each with more than 500+ words, is enough to get your application approval. Well, we really can’t say. It could be that Google AdSense Team reviews each website accordingly. In our experience, however, it took us 52 unique articles before being officially part of the AdSense.

5. Don’t Clutter Your Websites with Useless Widgets

"Yeah. Just like removing a nail eh?"

As we've discussed in the first part of this article, having a nice, neat and clean template is vital. Moreover, having your website free from useless widgets is important as well. Why? It is because this could also affect the user-experience of readers visiting your website. Eventually, it will give your page load time a very low rating. This is undeniably a bad point for your Google AdSense application. In our website, The Random Letter 7, we keep our widgets simple –just enough for our load time to be not affected. Google AdSense is very strict when it comes to user-experience. Therefore, when you’re under being reviewed, drop those useless widgets. Instead, focus on giving your readers an opportunity to navigate your website efficiently.

6. Buy a Custom Domain

For us, if you really want to be professional in terms of blogging, buying a custom domain should not be your last resort. Although Google AdSense also allows websites with sub-domains (blogspot.com), the former is more concern with websites/blogs that have custom domain. Yes, believe it or not, those who have their own domains are a notch higher than those who have not. Google AdSense is a serious and professional company. It is just right for them to affiliate with professionals too. Technically, buying a custom domain gives you a definite distinction especially that the blogosphere is very extensive. It will also give a better impression to your visitor. Trust us, you’ll surely get that application of yours approved.

7. Rich and Quality Contents

Most, if not all, of bloggers nowadays are giving more time in their contents. They now acknowledge the importance of having rich and quality-assured contents for their blogs/websites. It does not only help you in-terms of search engine rankings, but it also makes your website an avenue for loyal traffics as well. Yes, when people discover that your website is filled with interesting, fun and exciting contents, they’ll surely be coming back for more. Here, in The Random Letter 7, we make sure that our articles are not only quality-assured, but they are of unique perspectives as well. These are entirely valuable to Google AdSense. They want to deliver the best place for their Ads. So, be sure to give more time in concentrating on your contents. Before you post them, do some proofreads, review each aspect, choose a catchy image, and make sure that it will pin the interest of many. Be the type who gives worth on quality than quality–less is more.

In a nutshell, Google AdSense is the best online advertisement platform. Also, their rates are completely astonishing. It is why more and more bloggers are looking forward to have their websites be part of Google AdSense programs. So, if you’re still wondering why your website is not yet approved, re-review. Only you can ferret out the faults of your own blog. Nevertheless, blogging can’t be fathom with monetization. The latter comes last before the former – there’s more to BLOGGING. If you realize the important of this niche, having your Google AdSense approved will just be a walk in the park.

Lastly, which tops all of these aforementioned points, it’s a best practice to read and understand Google AdSense policies. It’s the very best thing to do before making any further steps, and we would really recommend you doing it.

Anyway, happy blogging!
